Bellnod

Questions

The short answers. The four steps are on How it works.

What is Bellnod?

An iPhone app and an API. Your scripts, machines and AI agents send it Notices, Prompts and Tasks. You read, answer or tick them off on your phone, and Prompts send the answer back to the script.

Can I sign up?

Not yet. Registration is closed for now while Bellnod runs as a pilot with one account.

Is there an Android app?

No. Bellnod is an iPhone app.

What can send Messages?

Anything that can make an HTTPS request with a token: shell scripts, cron jobs, CI steps, AI agents. Each one is its own Source with its own token, so you can see who sent what and revoke one without touching the others.

How does a script get my answer?

It asks for the Prompt’s state. With wait=50 the request holds for up to 50 seconds and returns as soon as you answer. If you have not answered yet, the script asks again.

What happens if I never answer?

A Prompt can carry an expiry and a default answer. When it expires, the script reads it as expired, with the default value. It never reads as if you had approved.

Can whoever runs the server approve things for me?

Not with a Runner. Your iPhone signs every answer with a key that never leaves it. The Runner checks that signature against the Devices you trusted before it runs anything.

What do Apple and my lock screen see?

For a Sensitive Message, only the title: the body never travels in the push. Guarded Prompts are answered only inside the app, with Face ID.

Can I stop it from ringing at night?

Yes. Quiet mode silences every push on every Device until the time you choose. Messages still arrive and are kept. To silence one noisy Source, mute just that one.

I lost my iPhone. What now?

Sign in on the site and revoke the Device. It stops getting pushes and its answers are refused. If you lost your authenticator too, sign in with one of your recovery codes.

Ask your scripts to ask you.
